Hugh Martin shows us that the book of Jonah has tremendous relevance for the Christian in every age, and the spiritual lessons which he draws from the experiences of this prophet are most remarkable. Hugh Martin (1822-85) was one of the most outstanding men in that “galaxy of gifted and devoted ministers of the Gospel” in Scotland during the second half of the 19th century.
