A Covenantal Vision for Global Mission

Reformed missional practice and Reformed missional doctrine are inseparably connected. Thus, the weighty subject of mission is not only a vital practical concern of the church, but also a theological and academic enterprise that requires deep thought and careful research. For centuries, those in the Reformed tradition have proclaimed the gospel of Christ to the four corners of the earth. But even so, discussions concerning the mission of the church do not sufficiently engage with the great theological truths of the biblical covenants―of creation, grace, and redemption. Bringing together contributors from Africa, Asia, North and South America, and Europe, A Covenantal Vision for Global Mission shows that the growing interest in the missional character of Christian outreach is grounded in the classic biblical and historic Reformed theological understanding of God’s covenantal relationship with mankind.
